There is something to be said for finding love when you already know who you are and want from your life. It’s hard to describe but you know it when you see it. Jen and Todd have that. The respect that they had for each other, their sense of humor and true friendship was tangible.
Jen and Todd were married on a rainy and cool day in October at the Preston Barn at Old Drovers Inn in Dover Plains, NY. Can confirm, it’s even beautiful in the rain.
Jen’s best friend officiated their ceremony and designed their decor, Jen’s adult son was on “flower girl” duty. They hid the rings under a random seat and had a random guest be their ring bearer. Their recessional song was a doo-woop song recorded by her father and his band when he was young (he was very amused and surprised). Todd and his mom danced their dance to “You never can tell” by Chuck Berry complete with the “Pulp Fiction“ dance. They made the day everything they wanted and limited what they didn't want and it was perfect.
A special shout out to the fabulous DJ Lou Paris for keeping these guys dancing all night even though Jen confessed that she is usually asleep by 9pm.
