Sometime in 2016 I was talking to our friend Veronica and said something to the effect of “I think I have “a thing” for (our mutual friend) Brandon.” Nick and I responded with something like “Wow, honestly you two would be perfect for each other. He's a great guy.” It turns out they were, to the point where it was actually kind of miraculous. Brandon made the usually “hard” Veronica soft and mushy and Veronica made Brandon shine. Several years together, a move to Maryland and a house with a garden still had not dulled their wide eyed enthusiasm for each other. It somehow made them even more insufferably adorable. Just by seeing them dance together it was clear that they were going to get married and when they did, it was also going to be one heck of a party ….and OH THEY DID AND OH IT WAS! Veronica and Brandon got married at the Elkridge Furnace Inn in Elkridge, MD on a warm and beautiful day in September. Being ravers, as part of their vows they swapped Kandi (beaded bracelets) with each other. Veronica’s bracelet said “meow” Brandon’s said “woof”. Their heartfelt and adorable vows made it impossible not to cry behind the camera. It was fittingly adorable. And then the party… Although I have something like 600 weddings under my belt at this point, the energy at this one was absolutely in the top 10. Although they did play some wedding standards like “The Wobble” they didn’t hire a typical “wedding” DJ, they hired https://www.sircasmmusic.com/ who also plays at raves and clubs. I do not know the exact genres of the loud and extremely fun electronic music that they played (I’m more of mosh pit/ world music/coffee shop girl) but it was hypnotic and kept almost all of their guests going hard the whole night. They ended the night with a sparkler exit. As the sparklers were burning out, Brandon started crying and it was impossible not to be moved by love they had for each other and the love that all of their friends and family had for them.
